Matriculants Urged To Apply For NSFAS Funding

Since the 2024 National Senior Certification (NSC) examinations kick-off, Higher{Education and Training Minister, Dr Nobuhle Pamela Nkabane, has reminded all matriculants to seize the opportunity to make an application for funding with the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).
"The application window will close on 15 December 2024, and there are actually not many days left to post applications. Suitable learners are urged to apply immediately to secure money aid for his or her post-school education," Nkabane said.
Nkabane extended well wishes to all matriculants, who sat for the National Senior Certificate Examinations, with learners writing languages, English and Afrikaans Paper 3.
Nkabane explained this pivotal moment marks the culmination of a long time of hard work and encourages the Class of 2024 to approach their tests with perseverance and confidence.
With Just over 880 000 candidates, including 727 121 full-time and 155,215 part-time candidates from throughout South Africa sit for this 12 months's matric exams, across South Africa, Basic Education Minister, Siviwe Gwarube, has assured the public from the department's preparedness to administer the exams effortlessly.
Nkabane highlighted an array of click here possibilities accessible within the Post-School Education and Training (PSET) system, which happens to be open to all matriculants in search of more education and learning and skills development.
The PSET system incorporates:
• Community Education and Training (CET) colleges: Giving skills development here and general education for students who want to continue learning.

• Higher Education institutions: Universities and higher education providers offering degree and diploma programmes.
